Dental Hygiene Practice for Preschoolers! October is Dental Hygiene Month

My very good teacher friend, Julianna Armstrong, does an amazing job guiding an early childhood classroom that consists of 50% special education kids.
These special kiddoes frequently have oral defensiveness and associated nutrition and dental hygiene issues. Every year she devotes one week to the topic and practice of dental hygiene.

The kids and parents love it!

One of the best parts is learning about the crud that gets between your teeth. The kids use Duplo blocks and play-doh to see first hand how well flossing works to clean out the crud!
All the kids practice brushing their teeth and spitting at school with their friends.

What fun!

They all go home with a toothbrush and toothpaste.
